Team Peeta or Team Gale?
I realize my last few posts have been titled by the weather, but I can’t help admiring the beautiful and unnaturally okay weather we’ve been getting this winter! It’s 46 degrees outside and the sun is shining not too bright, but enough to keep me happy in my beloved leather jacket and circle scarf.
What’s been going on with me since my last post? Well, I watched the Vow. It made me tear, not as much as I would’ve hoped because I felt that it was too messy. In the end, I still love Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum is alright. It wasn’t a bad movie! My entire Friday night was fantastic. We began by running from Lamont through Northrop Gillett, being cheered on by other students, and got onto the PVTA which we didn’t even bother checking the number of. Thankfully, we were still in Northampton when we learned from our fellow bus riders that we were on a bus to Hampshire College and Mt. Holyoke, not the Hampshire mall. This led us to the great experience of rushing off the bus laughing and meeting an interesting man at the bus stop. Sounds creepy, but everything he said made me laugh until my stomach hurt. Anyways, we eventually got to the cinema and each bought something at American Eagle before entering the SUPER CROWDED theater! My friend and I were very disappointed when the Hunger Games trailer didn’t appear…at this point I was in the middle of reading Chasing Fire, the second book in the series.
The next day I watched Drive with my lil sib. The movie was great because of the music and Ryan Gosling *swoon*, but the violence was so intense and on the level of Game of Thrones…I felt sick afterwards. Alright, so I spent the rest of the week worrying sick over an old Italian poem I had to memorize for my first quiz for Survey of Italian Literature. I was surprised that I was able to memorize all of it (seen below), but three lines. I’m jumping around, but I have to tell you all about my weekend experience with the Hunger Games series. It was FANTASTIC! I began the first book at lunch time on Thursday and finished the entire series by dinner on Sunday. I admit, I was psychotic the entire weekend because I was so obsessed and eager to return to my book. This is going to make me sound worse…I’m almost done re-reading the first book…:D Team Peeta or Team Gale?! I have no clue.
